Overview
As we emerge from the winter months, the team has been busy with significant updates for Group management, an interface refresh, and numerous back-end updates that will improve performance for both Learners and Administrators.

Expanded Group Management:
Closed Groups
- A type of Group that requires permission to join. These are similar to a Private Group, but users will be able to see them in the list of Groups.
- Users can browse and request to join. If users leave the Closed Group or are removed, they must re-request to join.
- Content Managers or other Group Leaders can approve or ignore requests to join a Closed Group.
Group Leader
Public, Private or Closed Groups can have Leaders assigned who can see reporting and manage the Group's users and content.App-specific Updates
Podcast updates
- The Podcast mini-player has been re-designed for more straightforward navigation and Podcast listening.
- Learners are now able to follow and unfollow Podcasts and will receive notifications when new episodes are published.
- The Podcast Mini Player has been updated for easier navigation and listening.
Search
- The Search button has been moved to the upper-left corner of the top-level screens.
- The layout of search results has been updated for more straightforward navigation and to provide more information for search results.
User Interface Updates
- Content sections within in Groups view can be expanded for more straightforward navigation.
- The info button for content has been redesigned to provide more detailed information.
- Update Navigation Buttons throughout for increased visibility.
- The Settings menu has been updated for easier navigation.
- Improves the User Interface of articles.
- Updates the “Next in course” section to focus specifically on the next learning object in the course.
- Badge descriptions can now contain links.
- Topics can be given a custom-type name.
Badges
- The Badges Page has been redesigned for more straightforward navigation.
Flashcards
- Android support of Flashcards has been improved.
Known Issues / Limitations
Web App
- Learner is unable to view glossary definition if the term is included within an annotation
Mobile App
- User is not able to expand the collapsed section on group details screen after collapsing all sections
- Navigation bar titles cannot be seen on iOS when text color is set to a light color
Tips for Updating
To keep your application up to date, please turn on your iOS and Android auto-updates. We have provided links below to help you turn on this feature. There is no need to update the Content Management System, as that is done automatically.
