The SparkLearn 3.14 release is focused on User Interface updates and our connection to the Xyleme publishing platform.
Details
- Xyleme Connection

- Adds support for syncing content with Xyleme (Enterprise*)
- User Interface Improvements
- Redesign of the login screen to improve the UX when customers have both Single Sign On (SSO) and local login enabled
- Groups are now shown alphabetically during user registration when adding a group to a user, and when adding a group to content
- Updates the order of the “Info” button and completion check mark so that it is consistent with the mobile app
- Improves the appearance of articles on larger screens to better visually separate the article from the rest of the page
- Improves the system performance while adding content to a journey/course where there are many articles in the system
- Improves the group detail view for the content manager by hiding group sections that only contain unpublished content

Enhancements and Bug Fixes
Web App
- Fixes a UI limitation that would only allow the first ten sections within a group to be effectively sorted
- Fixes an issue where users could not always get back to the login screen after starting a new user account registration
- Fixes an issue where content managers could not access old revisions of content if that content was added to a group
- Fixes an error that could occur when attempting to add a learning object to a course that was very recently deleted
- Fixes an issue where sometimes the user had to click multiple times to upload a new avatar to their profile
- Fixes an issue where the system would not show tests when trying to delete a tag/topic that was still associated with a test
- Improves the instructions around using the OpenAI integration for adding cards to articles
- Simplifies the content manager menu by removing the bulk import sections (these are still accessible from the Users and Glossary page)
- Fixes an error that could occur when trying to add hotspots to an image before uploading an image
- Fixes an issue where content revisions were not accessible if the content was part of a group
Mobile App
- Adds support for landscape orientation when logging in on a tablet device
- Fixes an issue where content couldn’t be redownloaded immediately after canceling the download
- Fixes an issue where the download status icon would sometimes show an item was not available offline after it had just been downloaded for offline use
- Android
- Improves the UX by allowing users to quickly get back to the dashboard by tapping the Dashboard button
- The app is now sent to the background when the system back button is tapped, and you’re at the top-most screen in the app
- Fixes an issue in which List Items might have unnecessary blank space
- iOS
- Fixes a spacing issue on the dashboard for users using iOS 17
- Fixes a spacing issue causing some tipcards to scroll unnecessarily
Known Issues and Limitations
Web App
- Entity browser loses selection when changing pages
- Learner is unable to view glossary definition if the term is included within an annotation
- The “View comments" button may show the wrong number of comments on multilingual content
Mobile App
- After the user deletes their own comment, the Android app may freeze
- Navigation bar titles cannot be seen on iOS when the text color is set to a light color
- Loading indicator takes too long to appear during account creation in the mobile app

To ensure that your application is kept up to date, make sure your iOS & Android auto-updates are turned on. We have provided links below to assist you with turning on this feature.
