Overview
The SparkLearn 3.13 release introduces new tools for Content Managers when adding content to groups and new ways for learners to choose and see groups. This release also focuses on interface updates.
Details
New Group Sections
Content Managers will now specify Sections for content to appear in when placed in a Group. This organizes content independently of the Topics field and allows for more content structure customization.
- Sections can be placed in a specific order within a Group
- Content can be placed into a specific order within a Section
- Content can be reset to alphabetical within a Section
- For existing customers, content already in a Group will automatically be placed into a Section with the same name as its topic. However, you can rename or reassign sections as desired.
New Learner View for Groups
The Groups interface has been updated, allowing more information to be displayed in a user-friendly way.
- The Groups you are a part of are now displayed in list view on the mobile app
- When joining Groups, tiles can be expanded to reveal the Group's description

Improves the image quality of banners at the top of groups

The Groups page no longer shows learning objects if they belong to a course/journey that is in the same group

Increases the maximum field length on group membership automation conditions

Veracity charts can now be embedded within articles

Improves the “Next in Course” section at the bottom of articles to remove the “view course” link and make the name of the course a link instead

Renames “Add Card” to “Add Tip/Flashcard/Quiz” when authoring an article

Improves the instructions around using the OpenAI integration for adding cards to articles

Simplifies the content manager menu by removing the Bulk import sections (these are still accessible from the Users and Glossary page)

Clarifies some confusing labels when viewing sent messages

Improves the warning message when trying to create an account for a user that already exists

Fixes an error that caused the mobile app to show assigned content under the wrong group heading

Fixes a minor alignment issue with the Most Recent section on the content management screen

Fixes an error that could occur when trying to add hotspots to an image before uploading an image

Fixes an issue where content revisions were not accessible if the content was part of a group

Restores the ability to use OpenAI generation while editing an article within the context of a course
Mobile App

Fixed a crash that could occur when scrolling in multiple directions

Fixed issue where loading indicator disappears too early while logging in

Updated the Groups page, the Groups detail page, and the layout of listed content
Known Issues and Limitations
Web App
- "Cancel Account" button breaks to two lines on small screens
Mobile App
- Additional space is available between the last item in a section and the "View More" button on the dashboard on iOS 17
- Loading indicator takes too long to appear during account creation in the mobile app
- After user deletes a comment from an article screen is frozen on Android
- After canceling a download in the mobile app, users must open something else before restarting the original download
- Navigation bar titles cannot be seen on iOS when text color is set to a light color
