SparkLearn® 3.2 Release Notes

Release Notes: May 2022

Overview

The SparkLearn® 3.2 release brings localization tools for the SparkLearn interface and content delivery. Based on recommendations and work with some of our largest clients, we are happy to offer localization tools to all SparkLearn Customers. This release also includes new group assignment abilities, improved navigation for content managers, and user licensing reporting.

For Content Managers and Owners

  1. The SparkLearn Interface elements and content sections can be localized
    • Content managers can request additional languages for interface elements to be localized.
    • Content managers can now duplicate learning materials and add in their own localized text and content.
    • When engaged with, localized versions of content will report back to the original language version, so it doesn't matter which version a learner views.
    • Contact your account manager for details, and the languages that are available.
  2. Managed automatic group assignment by user account properties
    • Users can be automatically assigned to and removed from groups via Single-Sign-On (SSO) (contact account manager for details)
    • A tenant owner/content manager will receive notice when trying to edit a managed group that some attributes can’t be changed (like the name).
  3. Improves navigation in the content management system
    • Adds the ability to collapse the menu while creating content
    • Various UI improvements for the content manager
  4. Improvements to reporting of user licensing

For Learners

  1. Added the ability to choose their preferred language from a list set up by the administrators.
    • Any localized content will appear in the user's chosen language. Content that has not been localized will be shown in the default language.
