Closed Groups enhance group management by allowing restricted access to certain Groups while maintaining visibility in the list of available Groups.
Details: Closed Groups
- A type of Group that requires permission to join. These are similar to a Private Group, but users can see them in the list of Groups.
- Users can browse and request to join. If users leave the closed group or are removed, they must re-request to join.
- Content Managers can approve or ignore requests to join a Closed Group.
- Groups can have Group Leaders assigned who can see reporting and manage the Group content.
Managing Closed Group Membership Requests
- Review Requests
As a Content Manager, you can view the list of pending user join requests.
- Approve or Ignore Requests
- Approve requests to grant user access.
- Ignore requests if you do not wish to grant access.
- If a user leaves or is removed, they must request to join again.
Assigning Group Leaders
- Designate Group Leaders who will have permission to:
- View reporting on group activity.
- Manage the Group's content and add new
- Manage the Group's Users
- Group Leaders can be designated when a user is added to the group or later from the list of Group members.
