SparkLearn® 5.1.6 Release Notes

SparkLearn 5.1.6 is now available. This release introduces CSV Export across list and report views, a significant round of accessibility improvements, and a number of bug fixes and UI polish updates. Also, a beta preview of the new Leaderboards feature — contact your SparkLearn representative to get this enabled for your team!

New Features & Enhancements

  • CSV Export for List and Report Views: Admins and content managers can now export data from list and report views directly to CSV, making it easier to analyze and share data outside the platform.
  • Content Collections in Report Tab: On the Report tab, content (Journeys, Courses, Articles) now shows which collections it belongs to, giving content managers better visibility into content organization.
  • Improved "View as Learner" UX: UI updates move the “View as Learner” to the main sidebar for easier access for Content Managers.
  • Leaderboards: A new Leaderboards capability is being made available to select customers. This feature enables competitive learning experiences by surfacing learner rankings within your team. To get Leaderboards enabled in your environment, contact your SparkLearn representative. This is a Premium-or-above feature.

Accessibility Updates

  • Multiple accessibility fixes have been applied across the learner and admin interfaces, improving screen reader support, keyboard navigation, focus visibility, and link context.

UI Copy & Labeling Updates: Several label improvements for clarity:

  • Document buttons updated to read "Upload Document" rather than "Create Document".
    • eLearning Package button and page title updated to better reflect the action
    • Inconsistent text casing in dropdown values and default messages resolved

Bug Fixes

  • Learning object author field: Restored the ability to change the author of a learning object in the admin interface.
  • Course article button alignment: Fixed a button misalignment when editing an article within a Course.
  • Report page breadcrumb links: Corrected incorrect links appearing above the page title on report pages.
  • Print styles for articles: Fixed broken print styles when printing articles as a content manager.
  • Toggle shape fix: Corrected an issue causing toggle controls to render incorrectly
  • Quiz card click target: Expanded the clickable area for the "Create Quiz" option in the Add Content.
  • Group section cleanup: Removed orphaned group sections that were not associated with any group content.
  • AI Chat layout fix: Resolved a layout issue that was preventing the AI Chat container from rendering at full width.
  • AI Chat attribution behavior: Fixed an issue where a custom prompt was incorrectly overriding the attribution behavior prompt addendum.

  • No new known issues were introduced in this release.
