SparkLearn® 3.20 Release Notes

August 2024

Overview

SparkLearn 3.20 brings massive improvements to search and a list of updates that add up to many improvements for both learners and content managers.

Details

Search Improvements

  • In the web application, PDFs and Office documents attached to learning objects are included in the search index. Searching now looks deep into attached files to improve the results and help learners find what they need. This expands the search functionality to allow for even more utility.
    • Currently, PDF search is only available via the browser version of SparkLearn and will soon be available in the app versions.
  •  We have also fine-tuned search tools to improve results.

New Reporting Screens for Groups

  • We have added a new Report tab to the Groups management screen, showing a summary of the assigned content.
  • This report shows the assigned date, due date, start date, and completion status for any assigned content within the group.
