Learn how to schedule when your content will be published and visible to learners
Content Managers can plan ahead and manage content visibility for users with updated publishing settings. If you have content that you want to become visible to your learners at a specific date and time in the future, you can schedule it to be Published.
You can also schedule content to be Unpublished if you only want it available for a limited time. This is a great for time-sensitive material or promotions.
You can schedule:
- Courses
- Learning Objects (Articles, Web Links, eLearning Packages, Documents)

- As a Content Manager, scroll to the bottom of the Course, or Learning Object that you are editing/creating
- In the settings box, select Scheduling Options
- Enter the date (mm/dd/yyyy) and time you want the content to Unpublish on
- Leave these settings blank if you want the content to remain published indefinitely
- Leave these settings blank if you want the content to remain published indefinitely
- Enter the date (mm/dd/yyyy) and time you want the content to Publish on
- Leave these settings blank if you want the content to be published manually
- Leave these settings blank if you want the content to be published manually
- Select Save to save your content as a draft
- Your content will automatically be Published at the date and time chosen in Step 4
- If you did not set a date and time in Step 4, select Publish to publish your content immediately
- While you may choose to Send for review, the content will be published as scheduled regardless of approval status unless the Publish on date and time are changed or cleared.
